Kaze's Point of view --
Childhood friends... growing up together.. no one could ever think of them being apart... everyone knew they were meant for each other... but not her.. she has someone else... He did everything he could for her.. he kept his feelings to himself.. he was afraid of what might happened... one day.. she was dumped... he thought it would be a chance.. but not yet.. he comforted her... he hugged her.. he stayed with her... till she recovered... as time flies by.. he still havent said his feelings... Later.. that night.. as they sat together at the swings in a park.. where they first met.... He finally found the courage... and told her.... She teared... and laughed.. but she put him out.. like the burning end of a midnight cigarette .. He smiled as though it didn't hurt.. day after day... his friends and i watch him trying to forget... i watch him drink his pain away.. a little at a time.. but he could never get drunk enough to get her off his mind... she broke his heart... until the night... he got his gun... and got his last bottle... he put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger.. and finally drank away her memory... we found him with his face down in the pillow... with a note that said "i'll love her till i die" and when we buried him beneath the willow.. we heard the angels sing the whiskey lullaby..

she stood there.. shaking as she glanced to the story in the news... the boy she had put out... gone.. as the story grew.. she tried to move on... but nobody knew how much she blamed herself.. for years.. she sat in regret.. she tried to hide the whiskey in her breath.. she never drank before.. she stayed in her home.. never coming out... she finally drank her pain away.. a little at a time.. but she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind.. until the night.. she went over to his place.. and found his gun.. she put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger... and finally drank away his memory... we found her with her head down in his pillow... clinging to his picture for dear life... we layed her next to him beneath the willow... while the angels sing the whiskey lullaby...
